The Brave Method
Dr. Harlene Goldschmidt, psychologist/psychoanalyst, works with performing artists, and other creative individuals who are interested in exploring their inner worlds as a way of deepening and accelerating their quest for excellence. Participants are taken through a series of guided imagery exercises that promote relaxation, concentration, clarity of intent, improved alignment, coordination, and overall physical and personal mastery. The skills taught are used by successful Olympic athletes, and are scientifically proven to enhance performance.
The unique program, the BRAVE Method, highlights Breathing, Releasing, Aligning, Visualizing and Energizing. Performing artists consistently experience a sense of well being, while gathering additional tools for performance preparation.
The method has applications to dancers, musicians, singers, actors as well as practitioners of yoga and Pilates. Dr. Goldschmidt, noted performing arts psychologist, guest teaches at The Juilliard School and Montclair State University, NJ. Harlene’s workshops are presented nationally and at Miller Healthcare Institute For Performing Artists
